Are you ready to make a difference in the lives of those with swallowing difficulties? Mark your calendars for March 13th, 2024, as the Speech and Language Team at Hobbs Rehabilitation invites you to join us for Swallowing Awareness Day, coinciding with NHS Nutrition and Hydration Week.

At this special event, we’re putting Dysphagia in the spotlight. Dysphagia, or swallowing difficulty, affects individuals for various reasons, including conditions like Dementia, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and Stroke.

From 11:00 to 13:00 at Hobbs Rehabilitation Winchester you can indulge your taste buds with our selection of tasty thickened mocktails. But that’s not all – representatives from Wiltshire Farm Foods and Oakhouse Foods will be on hand to showcase their offerings and provide delicious food tastings. Whether you’re a supporter, caregiver, or someone directly impacted by Dysphagia, there’s something for everyone at this event.

Hobbs Rehabilitation South East and Laverstock Care Centre in Salisbury will also be holding similar taster sessions, to be the first to know what time contact [email protected].

We’re not just here to enjoy mocktails and food tastings – we’re here to make a difference. Dysphagia can significantly impact an individual’s quality of life and mental health. That’s why we’re passionate about raising awareness and providing support to improve the well-being of those affected.

Save the date, spread the word, and together, let’s make Swallowing Awareness Day 2024 a resounding success. We can’t wait to see you there!
