ODFS Pace

Functional Electrical Stimulation

What is ODFS Pace?

ODFS Pace is a versatile single channel drop foot stimulator. It uses a pressure sensor under the foot to trigger stimulation during the gait cycle and a pair of surface electrodes to deliver electrical stimulation to the peripheral nervous system. It can be worn on a belt, in a pocket or strapped around the leg.

Who Can Benefit From Using ODFS Pace?

If you have suffered with a stroke or brain injury, or are living with conditions such as multiple sclerosis, or an incomplete paralysis you may be experiencing drop foot which can inhibit your ability to walk.

The ODFS pace is designed to lift the foot during gait improving the gait pattern reducing the effort and making walking safer. The device is suitable for individuals looking to purchase a cost effective, reliable drop foot stimulator or a single channel functional stimulator for activation of other muscles during the gait cycle.

The leg cuff comes with 3 strap sizes, but a single sized shell and is suitable for adults and children.

How Does ODFS Pace Work?

ODFS Pace has pre-programmed protocols which enables the device to be set up very quickly for a variety of rehabilitation applications. In addition to drop-foot stimulation, the ODFS Pace can also provide:
• Muscle activation during the gait cycle: calf, hamstrings, gluteals
• Sustained muscle activation during weight transfer in standing and potentially sitting
• Exercise stimulation in sitting, lying at home or on the go
• Upper limb rehab with the sensor triggered by a clinician or patient using hand pressure
