Individuals with a Parkinson’s diagnosis and those with other neurological conditions can benefit from having rehabilitation with the device.
Gait and Balance
The AR glasses can provide visual cues and feedback to help individuals with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions maintain better posture and balance while walking. Virtual markers or lines displayed in the glasses can assist in navigating spaces and avoiding obstacles.
Hand-eye Coordination
Reality DTx by Strolll can be used to display interactive games or exercises that focus on improving hand-eye coordination. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals who may experience difficulties in fine motor skills.
Cognitive Function
Strolll’s device can include cognitive training exercises and memory games to support cognitive function. Engaging in mental activities through AR can enhance cognitive abilities in individuals with neurological conditions.
Strolll’s augmented reality glasses work by superimposing games or visual cues into your existing reality. This allows you to move around and exercise with greater ease in your own or clinical environment.
The therapist introduces patients to the augmented environment, discusses specific goals, and selects suitable games. The devices are initially used within a Hobbs Rehabilitation outpatient centre but they can then be taken home to use with a prescribed activity list. The therapist can remotely monitor activity and modify the activity list as needed for patient progress.
We accept self-referrals and referrals from Medico-Legal, health and social care professionals and the charity sector.
Please note: While the locations listed show where each device is normally available, some smaller pieces of equipment are occasionally shared between centres. Larger devices remain at their designated locations. For specific requests, please contact us, and we will advise on availability or alternatives.
