TYMO®

Sensor-Based

What is TYMO®?

TYMO is a sensor based rehabilitation device used as a measurement and therapy system for the whole body. TYMO trains postural control in a sensitive, specific and meaningful way. The therapy board measures and trains data on balance, postural stability, weight distribution and symmetry.

Who Can Benefit From Using TYMO®?

TYMO is suitable for individuals who need to retrain stability and coordination after a neurological injury such as stroke, head injury or spinal cord injury. It is suitable for both adults and children.

How Does TYMO® Work?

TYMO measures the amount of force exerted through the sensor plate, providing visual feedback on the distribution of weight through the extremities. The therapy board can be used in a variety of postures to address a range of deficits including sitting, standing, or for training of the upper extremities. In standing, the individual can train muscular strength, standing posture, stance phase and weight distribution. Specific TYMO attachments can be applied for dynamic application of the sensor plate for training of standing balance and coordination. Unsupported sitting, trunk, and pelvis control can be trained by using TYMO in sitting. TYMO encourages and motivates individuals through visual feedback and gamification.
