Hobbs Rehabilitation’s Intensive Neurotherapy Centre is proud to showcase our exciting collaboration with Summit Medical and Scientific, establishing the centre as a UK Reference Centre for Summit Medical and Scientific, a showroom for cutting-edge neurorehabilitation technology.
This partnership is designed to enhance patient outcomes through innovative solutions, providing hands-on access to some of the most advanced rehabilitation devices available.
“We are delighted to partner with Hobbs Rehabilitation and launch Summit’s first UK Reference Centre. As the UK sales partner for international technology developers, we believe in the vital difference rehabilitation technology can make in a patient’s journey and we are passionate about increasing access to these devices across the country.”

Showcasing Advanced Rehabilitation Technology
The Intensive Neurotherapy Centre will feature neurotechnology from Hocoma and Motek Medical, and is now equipped with three remarkable devices provided by Summit Medical and Scientific:
- Andago
The Andago bridges the gap between treadmill-based therapy and free walking. It offers patients the freedom to walk independently while ensuring safety through dynamic body weight support. It is ideal for gait training, encourages natural movement patterns, and boosts patient confidence during rehabilitation. For our patients, it means they can practice daily activities which involve moving around unaided- such as making a cup of tea – safely, and they can train until they are ready to do these tasks freestanding – a progression in their therapy programme with real tangible goals to strive for.
2. ArmeoSpring Pro
This device supports upper limb therapy, promoting arm and hand function recovery. Its spring-based exoskeleton adapts to the patient’s needs, enabling repetitive, goal-oriented movements. The ArmeoSpring Pro is perfect for patients recovering from neurological injuries, fostering motor learning through engaging exercises. Our patients tell us their favourite games include frisbee throwing, shopping and watering plants! It’s key to remove the boredom associated with ‘just moving the arm a lot’ and finding ways to keep the patient engaged and competitive within the gaming elements, while the clinician can adjust the assistance or difficulty levels in response.
- C-Mill VR Treadmill
A state-of-the-art treadmill system that integrates balance, gait, and cognitive training. By incorporating real-world challenges, such as obstacle avoidance and multitasking, the C-Mill ensures patients are better prepared for everyday mobility. This is very popular with therapists and patients alike as it is so versatile and fun as well as challenging on many levels. The integration of VR adds another layer to the rehab and the data produced is useful to track progress and analyse impairments and progression.
What This Collaboration Means for Patients
The partnership allows Hobbs Rehabilitation to deliver an unparalleled neurotherapy experience, combining clinical expertise with the latest advancements in rehabilitation technology. These devices empower patients to achieve their recovery goals by offering:
- Enhanced engagement through interactive and task-specific therapies
- Personalised rehabilitation plans tailored to individual needs
- Improved outcomes in gait, upper limb function, and cognitive-motor integration
Both Summit Medical and Scientific and Hobbs Rehabilitation, recognise the critical role neurotechnology plays in supporting clinicians and patients. This shared understanding emphasises the importance of these case study examples, demonstrating the profound impact neurotechnology can have in advancing care and enhancing patient outcomes.
A Hub for Innovation
The Summit showroom not only offers patients access to these state-of-the-art devices, but also invites clinicians and case managers to explore their potential. This collaboration underscores a shared commitment to pushing the boundaries of neurorehabilitation and improving the quality of life for patients with neurological conditions.
