Hobbs Rehabilitation Attended the 12th World Congress for NeuroRehabilitation in Vienna

December 14-17, 2022

Alison Watt, Helen Hobbs & Laura Marriott at WCNR in (a very cold) Vienna

Helen, Alison and Laura all headed to Vienna in December for the 12th World Congress for NeuroRehabilitation. While there, both Alison and Laura presented their academic poster sharing the recent MiNT and NeuroVirt trials on the world stage. They all enjoyed the masses amount of networking opportunities – meeting so many new faces and even bumping into some international friends and colleagues!

The team weren’t just promoting Hobbs Rehabilitation and The MiNT Academy either – they were also shouting about the AiBle Project, a 3-year UK/France cross-border EU Interreg project to improve the recovery experience of stroke patients, to clinicians/clinics and potential future users, whilst researching the market and scientific background to support ongoing development.

While in Vienna they also managed to visit tech2people to see their clinic, discuss clinical research and data collaborations, and share ideas for progressing the integration of technology and clinical practice – they had a VERY busy December!

A great place to keep up-to-date with all our visits and events that are happening Hobbs & MiNT-wide is by following our social media.

South East's Reverse Advent Calendar

December 18th, 2022

Lizzie Williams & Ellie Bryan alongside Liss Foodbank’s Nigel Drury

In December Ellie organised for Hobbs Rehabilitation South East to take part in a Reverse Advent Calendar. Unlike the traditional advent calendars where you would receive a chocolate or gift per day, the reverse advent calendar turns the trend on its head and all involved donated an item each day instead! The team of superstars managed to collect 4 huge bags of food and donations for the Liss Foodbank which Nigel was extremely grateful for!

Christmas Celebrations

December 15th, 2022

Sarah Pham & Mollie Standard with the MS Society exercise group

The Hobbs Rehabilitation team were definitely feeling the festive spirit throughout December – they all got up to so much as you’ve all probably seen!

Mollie and Sarah were invited to a lovely Christmas dinner by their attendees from the Friday morning MS Society exercise group last week.

Our Speech and Language team had a very festive Christmas this year with team Secret Santa, a festive night out, and, to top it off, a team spa trip!

The OT’s got together in Winchester to celebrate Christmas with sourdough pizza and tea (great choices!)

And Oaksey House celebrated Christmas with a Christmas lunch, provided by Saffron, a patient’s daughter, alongside a Secret Santa – Sock Edition… which resulted in, as you may have guessed, festive footwear galore!

We hope you enjoyed the holidays and had a great New Year!
