OMEGO® & OMEGO® Plus

Multi-modal robotic rehabilitation devices enable targeted lower limb training by combining strength, coordination, and cardiovascular exercise within a single platform.

What is it?

OMEGO, developed by Tyromotion, is a robotic therapy system designed for individuals with lower limb functional limitations. It supports rehabilitation by providing a range of training modes that target gait-related components such as strength, range of motion, coordination, rhythm, symmetry, and proprioception. The device includes multiple exercise options, such as stepping, cycling, leg press, ankle training, and sensory training, allowing therapy to be tailored to individual needs. OMEGO also integrates visual feedback and interactive elements to enhance engagement and enable monitoring of performance and progress over time. It can be used throughout different stages of rehabilitation as part of inpatient, outpatient, or intensive programmes.
How does multi-modal training support lower limb rehabilitation and gait recovery?
Multi-modal training allows different aspects of lower limb function to be addressed within a single session, including strength, endurance, coordination, and joint mobility. By combining varied movement patterns such as stepping, cycling, and resistance exercises, OMEGO enables repetitive and task-specific training that supports motor learning and functional recovery. The ability to adjust resistance and assistance levels helps clinicians progressively challenge the individual, while visual feedback and performance tracking support engagement and allow therapy to be tailored based on ongoing progress.

OMEGO for Lower Limb Rehabilitation and Gait Recovery

OMEGO is used for individuals with lower limb impairments such as weakness, reduced range of motion, and impaired proprioception. It supports rehabilitation following neurological conditions, including stroke, spinal cord injury, and other conditions affecting mobility. The device helps target key components of gait and movement, including balance, coordination, rhythm, and symmetry. It can also support improvements in cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance, making it suitable for use across different stages of rehabilitation as part of a structured therapy programme.
OMEGO offers a variety of training modes, including stepping, cycling, leg press, ankle joint training, and sensory or rhythm-based exercises. Each mode can be adjusted to provide different levels of assistance or resistance depending on the user’s abilities and rehabilitation goals. The system enables controlled, repetitive movements that help train both isolated joint function and coordinated lower limb activity. Interactive visual feedback and game-based elements are available to encourage engagement and allow users to monitor their performance during therapy.
At Hobbs Rehabilitation, OMEGO is incorporated into inpatient, outpatient, and intensive rehabilitation programmes as part of a personalised treatment plan. Clinicians use the device to support lower limb training alongside conventional physiotherapy, selecting appropriate exercise modes and settings based on individual goals. The system allows therapy sessions to be progressed over time by adjusting difficulty, resistance, and task complexity. With integrated performance tracking and feedback, OMEGO supports structured, goal-oriented rehabilitation aimed at improving mobility, endurance, and functional independence.
