Nearly a year ago to the day, I had an accident and fractured my spine in 3 places. Thankfully my back healed but I was left with no feeling in my left foot. When I attended Hobbs physio for the first time I was in a wheelchair and couldn’t walk unaided. Fast forward 10 months, and today with my incredible physio Lizzie by my side, I completed the final part of the superhero triathlon. I walked 1k with my stick. The other superhero teammates joined together for the final stretch. But I surprised all my family and walked the last few metres unaided. Lizzie believed in me when I thought things were impossible and I wouldn’t have walked that last few metres with out her. I am so grateful and lucky to have had the support from Lizze and Hobbs. The triathlon team were awesome, thank you all. Without a doubt, it has been one of the hardest and most emotional journeys of my life. But as a team we did it!
