Improving Parkinson’s Rehabilitation at Hobbs Rehabilitation with Reality DTx by Strolll

February 9, 2024

Hobbs Rehabilitation has invested in the world’s first augmented reality solution, specifically formulated for individuals living with Parkinson’s, to expand our Parkinson’s rehabilitation service and provide better outcomes for those living with Parkinson’s across the south of England.

Reality DTx by Strolll, the next generation of neurotech for Parkinson’s Rehabilitation, that empowers movement therapy for people living with Parkinson’s, is now available at Hobbs Rehabilitation Winchester and Hobbs South East.

Nicola Perkins, Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist and Team Lead at Hobbs Rehabilitation Winchester comments: “I am so excited to have the opportunity to use this technology to help people with Parkinson’s. The Augmented Reality device puts animations into your own environment and can help to improve your ability to walk and exercise effectively. You can also take the device home to use as part of your daily routine, building up your daily reps with your designated therapist reviewing your progress virtually and progressing your exercises as required.”

Augmented Reality Solution for Parkinson’s Rehabilitation

Reality DTx by Strolll is Digital Therapeutics software for Augmented Reality (AR) glasses. The solution has been designed for patients living with Parkinson’s, but can also be used by individuals living with other neurological conditions. The augmented reality glasses incorporate cueing therapy and gamification of exercises to reduce fall risks, as well as improve balance and gait.

Jorgen Ellis, CEO at Strolll, comments: “Strolll is absolutely thrilled to join forces with such a forward-thinking company, we had a fantastic demo session with great feedback from both therapists and PWP’s alike. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for this awesome collaboration.”
