We are very excited to be working alongside Accomplish Group to offer our new residential service at Church Road. Our therapeutic approach is designed to support clients in regaining functional ability through structured, person-centred interventions. We focus on promoting recovery, independence, and long term stability in a safe environment.” – Jo Carnegie, Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist, Hobbs Rehabilitation

A New Chapter at Church Road

Together, we have launched a collaborative rehabilitation service based at Church Road in Ferndown, Accomplish Group’s brand-new, fully accessible home for individuals with acquired brain injuries and neurological conditions, mental health needs, learning disabilities, and autism. This warm and supportive facility has been designed to provide a safe environment for individuals transitioning from hospital settings to more independent living.

Church Road offers four spacious self-contained flats and four ensuite bedrooms, including an accessible lift that covers both floors, providing full access for individuals with mobility limitations. Alongside the accommodation, the home also has multiple communal areas, including a brand-new kitchen and dining area, a comfortable living space, and a conservatory which leads to a large garden that residents can enjoy.

While there is 24-hour support on hand from the dedicated Accomplish team for clients who require assistance, Church Road encourages independence with its many liveable facilities. With the guidance from our team of neurological specialists, this environment is the perfect place to help individuals achieve their rehabilitation goals, and reach their full potential post injury or diagnosis.

Our Multidisciplinary Team at Dorset

Our multidisciplinary team has been established within the Dorset area for several years now and have supported a number of clients within the community. The new collaboration at Church Road allows our therapists to continue to provide the high standard of rehabilitation clients’ and their families receive in our wide range of inpatient/outpatient settings. Our experienced Dorset team operates from our on-site therapy room, delivering high-quality, person-centred neurorehabilitation for adults with a wide range of neurological conditions, from stroke, spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injuries to complex, long-term neurological conditions.

The dedicated Church Road team, includes:

Specialist Neurological Physiotherapy: Focused on improving movement, strength, and mobility following conditions such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, or Parkinson’s. Our tailored rehabilitation programmes are designed to support neuroplasticity and help individuals regain function and independence.

Occupational Therapy: Supporting people living with neurological conditions to relearn or adapt essential everyday skills. Whether recovering from a brain injury, managing the impact of multiple sclerosis or adapting to life after a stroke, our therapy promotes independence in a safe, home-like and community-integrated environment.

Speech and Language Therapy: Helping individuals affected by neurological illnesses such as motor neurone disease or brain tumours to overcome challenges with communication and swallowing. Therapy is focused on restoring confidence, function, and quality of life.

Clinical Neuropsychology: Providing psychological support for those experiencing emotional, behavioural or cognitive changes due to neurological conditions. Using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), our therapists aim to help individuals manage anxiety, depression, memory loss, and adjustment difficulties following acquired brain injury or neurological condition or illness.

Beyond the Therapy Room

What makes this collaboration particularly special is our shared commitment to functional, real-world rehabilitation. In addition to structured therapy sessions, our team will guide and support clients through community-based activities, such as visiting cafés, going to the cinema, exploring local parks, helping them to re-engage with life and build confidence in day-to-day settings.

Clients at Church Road will also benefit from having access to a range of neurotechnology, such as the GripAble, which will help speed up their recovery process, and promote ongoing focus on functional improvements.
