Hobbs Rehabilitation services, in Lambourn, are based out of the Injured Jockeys Fund’s main rehabilitation building. With access to state-of-the-art facilities including a gym fitted with exercise machines, free weights, cable machines, cardio equipment, a hydrotherapy pool with underwater treadmill and jets enabling clients to complete exercises in a warm environment and an Alter G anti-gravity treadmill which allows patients to walk/run at reduced body weight, promoting neuroplasticity and restoration of a normal walking pattern.

Our team at Oaksey House provide neurological rehabilitation services and therapies. Oaksey House has wheelchair-accessible independent living flats on site, which allow Hobbs Rehabilitation to provide intensive inpatient therapy with the addition of care if needed and can focus on goals around the home to increase independence. Our holistic, patient-centred treatment programmes are tailored to the patient’s individual goals in an intensive setting.

The exciting development of assistive neurotechnology and robotics has allowed clinicians to significantly increase the number of repetitions achieved during sessions and improve patient outcomes when therapy is given over a shorter period. Working intensively, you will start to make neuroplastic changes in your brain much quicker than conventional therapy and notice positive changes within weeks.

We treat a large number of injured sportsmen and women from the equestrian and rugby world at Oaksey House, but our services are not exclusively for injured sportspeople.

To provide an individualised package of intensive brain injury rehabilitation, which is tailored to suit your goals, an initial assessment is a good place to start.
