For the last couple of years, I have been paying for a monthly physiotherapy session with Natasha Kesby at Hobbs Rehabilitation near Winchester to try to help improve my posture and gait as well as reduce the stiffness that I often have in my legs and back due to my relapsing-remitting MS. She very quickly identified that I also have one leg that is quite a bit longer than the other which was adversely affecting my posture and walking which is something that no other medical person who I had seen about my MS had spotted. She suggested that I have an insert fitted in one of my shoes to help improve things and, now that I have this fitted in my shoes, I feel this has certainly contributed to improving my walking and posture. I have found this regular treatment with Natasha to be very beneficial both in terms of helping to control the effects of my MS and the opportunity that it has provided to be able to discuss how I feel about my MS with her in what I feel is a “safe” environment. It has also encouraged me to undertake the daily series of stretching exercises that Natasha Kesby has suggested for me. I have always found all of the staff at Hobbs to be very welcoming and friendly so that it is a pleasure to go there for my physiotherapy treatment.
