Placing You at the Centre of Care

October 2, 2026

After 3 months in Salisbury District Hospital Stroke Unit, including 2.5 weeks in London UCL Hospital, I started my 12 weeks of rehabilitation at Hobbs Rehabilitation at Laverstock, Salisbury on 4th of May, 2026. Needless to say, the professional approach to my recovery and ongoing rehab is second to none, and this is all thanks to the wonderful, supportive, and caring tailored approach taken by the team at Hobbs Rehabilitation and the various therapy teams to meet my goals and outcomes that I wanted to achieve. I would like to extend my heartfelt thank you to Sophie Kinnard (Assistant Psychologist); Cat Mulrine (Speech and Language Therapy); Rayna Smith and Andy Spencer (Physiotherapy); and Alex Lovett (Key Worker & Occupational Therapist) for all you have done for me and guided me throughout my time at Hobbs. I would also like to thank Vonny Meekings and Rose Beecham (Occupational Therapists); Jo Carnegie and Adam Yeomans-Smith (Physiotherapy); Sophie Wilson (Speech and Language Therapy); and Lisa Shord (Rehab Assistant) for your unwavering support. Last, but by no means least, a big thank you to the Winchester University placements, Aimee and Brac (good luck to you both in your future endeavours) and all Care Assistants and support staff. It goes without saying, the team at Hobbs Rehabilitation at Laverstock have challenged me every step of the way. My journey to recovery may be ongoing, but you have all contributed to making my recovery a shorter & better experience. I hope we have laughed together along the way. I thank the Hobbs Team for everything.
