I have really enjoyed my clinical placement at Hobbs Rehabilitation, Winchester base. The whole team has been extremely welcoming and supportive.
As a third-year Undergraduate Physiotherapy Student at the University of Winchester, I have been able to work with a diverse range of neurorehabilitation patients, expanding my knowledge, clinical reasoning, manual handling skills, and hydrotherapy techniques.
Over the last six weeks, I have also had the opportunity to use a variety of neurotechnology therapy aids, including robotic exoskeletons, virtual and augmented reality headsets, and upper limb gaming devices.
This placement has been an excellent opportunity to experience the differences between private and NHS rehabilitation settings.
