Nearly a year ago to the day, I had an accident and fractured my spine in 3 places. Thankfully, my back healed, but I was left with no feeling in my left foot. When I attended Hobbs physio for the first time, I was in a wheelchair and couldn’t walk unaided. Fast forward 10 months, and today, with my incredible physio Lizzie by my side, I completed the final part of the superhero triathlon. I walked 1k with my stick. The other superhero teammates joined together for the final stretch. But I surprised all my family and walked the last few metres unaided. Lizzie believed in me when I thought things were impossible, and I wouldn’t have walked those last few metres without her. I am so grateful and lucky to have had the support from Lizzie and Hobbs. The triathlon team were awesome, thank you all. Without a doubt, it has been one of the hardest and most emotional journeys of my life. But as a team, we did it!
