After my stroke, my world changed overnight. I went from being a strong, independent woman caring for my husband to struggling with fatigue, pain and everyday activities. Walking even short distances was exhausting, and I had very little confidence in my body.
When I started working with Hobbs Rehabilitation, I didn’t know how much progress was possible. From the beginning, they were kind, patient and understanding. They looked beyond my walking and recognised the wider challenges I was facing, including losing my husband, moving house and adjusting emotionally.
The physiotherapy helped me become stronger, improve my balance and move more freely. Occupational therapy supported me with everyday activities, while group exercises encouraged me to push myself and connect with others.
What helped most was the personalised approach. When I had difficult days or setbacks, the team adapted and continued to support me. Now I can walk indoors independently with my walker and have even returned to hobbies like knitting.
I am incredibly thankful to Hobbs Rehabilitation. Their patience, kindness and expertise have helped me achieve more than I thought possible, and I would recommend them to anyone needing this support.
